CHEMKOP-LABORGEO was retained by KGHM - Polska Miedź - S.A. to install the monitoring equipment in the "Rudna-Żelazny Most" Flotation Tailing Reservoir. In 1996, boreholes totalling 210 lineal metres were drilled for inclinometers in the reservoir embankments. In 1997, special boreholes for micro-seismic survey totalling 300 lineal metres and piezometers of 540 lineal metres were drilled within the tailing sediments in the reservoir. In 1999-2000, inclinometers totalling 313 lineal metres were installed.

Contamination Assessment of Soil and Groundwater

Service provided:
In 1992 and 1994, CHEMKOP-LABORGEO carried out drillings and geological investigations to assess the contamination of six allotments in Śląsk Province. A total number of 49 monitoring wells ranging from 6 to 20 m in depth were drilled in two stages. The job was ordered and strictly supervised by GIBB ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES - UK, one of the world's leading providers of environmental monitoring of contaminated soils and ground water and cleanup solutions.
In 1994, Hydroeko - Warszawa conducting BRGM's Project (France) retained CHEMKOP-LABORGEO for contamination assessment and cleanup of the Zakłady Sodowe SOLVAY site in Kraków. A network of the monitoring wells was drilled under the BRGM specialists' supervision. In the result of the cleanup operations, 2500 litres of diesel oil were extracted from the ground around the site of the past filling station.

Service provided:
In 1996 for Military University of Technology, CHEMKOP-LABORGEO carried out works to assess the contamination of soil and groundwater in the site of a great liquid fuel station in the Military Base No. 4013 in Radnica. According to the EPA standard, CHEMKOP-LABORGEO drilled inspection boreholes totalling 500 lineal metres and installed monitoring well totalling 230 lineal metres.
